THE BARRIK
OUR SMALL 3 LITER WINE BARREL IS CALLED “BARRIKTM”. WE INSPIRED OUR NAME FORM THE FRENCH & SPANISH NAME FOR BARREL, BARRIQUE & BARRILTM.
IT WAS BORN FROM THE IDEA OF HONOURING THE TRADITIONAL WINE BARREL AND THE MEMORIES ASSOCIATED WITH IT.
WINE BARRELS ARE ROOTED IN WINEMAKING CULTURE SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A TRADITIONAL TRANSPORT AND AGING VESSEL.
BARRIK IS RESPECTFUL OF THE HERITAGE THAT PRODUCED IT.
YET IT IS ALSO MADE TODAY.
FOR THE NOVICE, TO THE LOVER AND EVEN THE WINE CONNOISSEUR.
HOW TO USE
BARRIKtm IS A TRIBUTE TO THE INVENTORS OF THE BAG-IN-BOX, WHICH HAD A CLEAR FOCUS ON THE ESSENTIAL THINGS IN LIFE, AND THE PURE, UNCOMPLICATED HAPPINESS THEY BRING US.
1
KEEPS THE WINE FRESH FOR 30 DAYS
BARRIK preserves this wine from its worst natural enemies. Air & Light and prevents it from oxidizing. As a result, the BARRIK keeps your wine fresh for at least 30 days. And because it has no cork, you cannot end up with corked wine.
2
GOOD DEAL
We have revolutionized its appearance and made it better value by replacing four glass bottles with one small BARRIKTM. With a more cost-effective packaging we are able to pass the savings on to you.
3
RE-USABLE
Once you have used your BARRIKTM you can re-use it by using our BARRIK REFILLTM pouch or as an ice bucket.
4
NEW LIFE
You could also give it a new life. As a tin storage bin or design object.
5
PARTY-PROOF
It’s made of recyclable metal and has space for up to 1 small ice pack to keep you wine cool outside the fridge.
6
FITS THE FRIDGE
Due to its shape. BARRIKTM needs only 17cm of vertical shelf space and because of that fits 95% of all fridges.
7
GREEN
Due to its structure, avoidance of cork, its weight, and shape, this BARRIKTM considerably reduces the carbon footprint of your glass of wine compared to a bottle. It’s made of metal and metal recycles easy forever.
IT IS BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE
AND KNOWLEDGE OF TRUE WINE EXPERTS
BARRIK reintroduces the wine barrel as a transport vessel as a work of contemporary craftmanship, thanks to its design, the unique improvements added, the premium wine blends and the superior materials from which it is produced.
Meets Artist
DZIA LIMITED EDITION
Antwerp-based street artist DZIA
The Belgian muralist has been busy adding fauna flair to walls in an increasingly widening swath across the globe. Recent projects have taken him to China, Norway, and Spain. Dzia, who is classically trained with a masters in fine art at the Royal Academy in Antwerp, primarily depicts wild animals — foxes and birds seem to be recurring favorites. His unique style creates a mosaic of colors following the contours of the animal’s form. In his more recent work, Dzia has begun to add tonal shading within each defined area, adding a sense of volume to the well-defined figures. His work reincorporates animals into an urban environment, rendering them in bold, geometric lines.
